Episode 3- Different Types of Private Investors

The last two episodes introduced private investors. In this episode i will give detailed information on different types of private investors. Just spare some few minutes with in depth  attention.

Before you start your hunt for a private investor, you must be aware of the different types of private investors that you may come across. So, without further ado, here are the different types of private investors that may be willing to invest in your startup:

1. Friends and family:

Startups and small businesses often turn to friends and family as their first private investors. They are a great source of investment because friends and family already have the trust and confidence in you that are required to take the risk of investing in a startup. Friends and family can either lend money to your new business or make an equity investment.

When it comes to money, don't take the investors lightly just because they are your family and friends. Remember that your investors will only get paid back if the business makes money. Give them a good pitch, show them your business plan, and make sure they understand the risks of investing their money, even if they trust you completely, in order to avoid ruining your relationships.

2. Angel Investors

These are wealthy individual investors who put their own money into new businesses when they are at the startup phase. Angel investors sometimes put their money by joining forces with other angel investors. This is called an angel group, and it can bring a more significant amount of money to a startup.

Angel investors should be "accredited investors". Accredited investors have a net worth of at least $1 million. In addition, they earn $200,000 a year or $300,000 a year with their spouse. Along with money, they also offer mentoring or advice that makes them more valuable for your business.

\3. Private Equity Investors

Private equity is money that is put in by private individuals and private equity firms. In exchange for their money, private equity investors get a piece of the business or a loan note. The goal of a private equity investor is to make money by selling their share of the business after a few years.
While you can get private equity from individuals, this type of investment usually comes from private equity firms, which are investment companies that take money from individual investors and pool it to invest it in companies that have already shown great promise.

4. Private Investors Versus Venture Capitalists

Venture capitalists are professional investors. Venture capital firms have people who put money into the venture capital firm, and the firm has to give them big returns for their money. Because of this, what they look for in an investment may be different from what other investors look for.

They assess businesses and invest in them the same way people invest in stocks, and they do everything they can to make sure their investment brings a return. VC firms put more money into growing a business in exchange for a share of it than you’d expect from an angel or other individual.

Remember, pitch private investors such as
DESNET through desnet920@gmail.com or facebook/desnetsesnet or facebook/desnetfunding for your business funding.

Typically venture capital firms invest more at the later stages of a startup than private individuals. There are some which specialize in early-stage startups. Though they are going to be more demanding of you. Typically, they will come in after you’ve raised a round or two from other individuals or sources. In the next episode, I  shall bring the exposure of How to Find a Private Investor for Your Startup

HOW START UP CAN EASILY RAISE FUND FOR THEIR BUSINESSES

In the last post, the introduction of  how start up entrepreneurs can quickly raise business fund was made. It opened up on quicker and more profitable funding window. Thus every entrepreneur should know what private investors are. Today I will expose what private investor are. Stay on.

What Are Private Investors?

A private investor is a person or business that gives money to help startups or businesses take off and grow. Private investors have several advantages over other funding methods for startups. Most of the time, private lenders focus on one type of business and industry, so you can find an investor that invests in startups similar to yours.
They can help you in more ways than just giving you money. Investments can be made through equity or debt. Equity is when you trade money for ownership of your company. The investors will get their money back based on their stake in the company or the number of company shares they own.

Startups are risky businesses that are just getting started or are in their early stages. To grow their business, they need money, and they need it fast. Most of the money that these small companies need can come from private investors. It is usually hard for new small businesses to get money from big banks.
Even if you have a detailed plan when you go to the bank for a loan, it's likely you won't get any money because startups are a big risk for the bank. If a bank turns you down for a loan, don't worry you can still pitch private investors such as DESNET through
desnet920@gmail.com or facebook/desnetsesnet for money. Private investors are individuals and companies that are not banks. Most of the time, they give money to new businesses in exchange for ownership of the business. They may also make loans or loans that can convert into equity later. In the next post, I shall bring the exposure of Different Types of Private Investors

Private Investors

Every entrepreneur should know what private investors are and how to find them. Finding an investment as a startup founder with little to no past experience in securing funding can be scary. Lenders such as banks do provide lives of credit and small business loans, however, they may not be keen to invest in a startup with no track record or proven revenues.

Here,  we help from A to Z with everything related with fundraising, luckily the amount of initial investment a startup needs to get off the ground and launch can come from private investors that aren’t associated with banks or other large institutions. With that said, you aren’t the only startup that will be actively looking for these private investors. Private investors are the preferred type of investors for most startups because private investors are willing to take more risks with new companies. They may be more flexible on their criteria for lending or investing as well.

If you are trying to get investment from private investors you will have to find them first. Not to mention you need to know what a private investor is and their types to make sure you find the right one for your startup.
In this article, I will explain everything you should know about private investors and how you can find them, so read on.  In the next edition you  shall get the exposure of

20 WAYS TO CARE FOR BLACK WOMAN’S HAIR

In continuation of the the valuable tips on 20 WAYS TO CARE FOR BLACK WOMAN’S HAIR to conclude strategy 2 adopting a natural hair wash routine is very important.

HOW TO DO A NATURAL HAIR WASH DAY ROUTINE

  Get Your Mind Right

Eat, take a nap, and do whatever you need to before you start your hair. You will be happy and more importantly, YOUR HAIR will be happy that you prepared yourself. Before you even touch your hair… you HAVE to prepare that mind. It seems dramatic, but it makes the process go much smoother. You can’t be annoyed, impatient, or angry because you will take it out on your hair when it doesn’t cooperate.

Pre-Poo (20 - 45 mins)

The focus in this step is the OILS not water.  When selecting pre-poo oils it is important you choose ones that penetrate the hair shaft. Penetrating the hair shaft means absorbing into your hair rather than sitting on top of your hair.  Prepoo is the process of putting extra oils and moisture into your hair so that when you shampoo, (which will strip your hair of its natural oils) there will already be additional moisture in your hair. The best comparison I use to understand this process is with washing dishes. After keeping oily food in a container, I will try to wash a dish and I will use soap, scrub it, rinse it off… but the dish will still be oily and I will need to keep using more soap to clean it. I feel like this is what happens with our hair. When we put the oils in before we shampoo, even after shampooing some of the oil and moisture will still be left behind. I am a strong advocate for water and how much it helps our hair but this is a step that I will emphasize using minimal water.

Now you have received the best way to  DO A NATURAL HAIR WASH DAY ROUTINE, let us go back to our main issue. Remember 20 WAYS TO CARE FOR BLACK WOMAN’S HAIR

Step 3: De tangle & Section (20 - 30 mins)

This step is usually combined with the prepoo process, but I figured it was best to put it as a separate step because I don’t always prepoo. I typically have the best wash days when I detangle my hair before shampooing and twist my hair in about 6-10 chunky twists. They don't need to be neat or organized twists, I do this so that I have easy access to my scalp. My hair is extremely thick so when I try to shampoo without sections sometimes I feel like the shampoo isn’t getting to every part of my scalp. The twists also help my hair to not get too de tangled during the shampoo process.

 How to

1.   Use your FINGERS. (I rarely use combs/brushes because they can't feel the knots in my head, they just pull them out. You can feel knots and detangle gently.)

2.   Take your time and do small sections.

3.   Twist when section is complete.

*if you skip the pre-poo step, use water during this process*

Step 4: Shampoo (20-40 mins)

This step is important for cleansing your hair. Although most shampoos remove all your natural oils and moisture, it also cleans your scalp which is the birthplace of all your hair. It’s a necessary step! Some people use sulfate-free shampoos, (sulfate is the ingredient in shampoos that strips all the moisture and oils) which can still clean your hair but it may take more product and more massaging of the scalp for it to be as effective as shampoos with sulfates. I go back and forth between using shampoos with sulfate and sulfate-free shampoos. It depends how dirty my hair is and how I am feeling, but just make sure you are deep conditioning and moisturizing your hair well if you use a shampoo with sulfates. You don’t always have to follow the hype so do what works for your hair!

I wash my hair…. Brace yourself… about ONCE every 6 weeks. People are always surprised when I say this. This is best for me because my scalp doesn’t get very dirty and I have never struggled with dandruff. Plus, when I wash my hair it starts a whole process of a lot of manipulation, touching, and styling my hair. My hair has always been healthiest and grown the longest when I just leave it alone. Some people wash their hair every 2 weeks...or every month, but I can only speak on what’s worked for me! In between shampoo washes I co-wash or just rinse old products out of my hair and re-style. I don’t like stripping my hair of its natural moisture so often.

 How to

1.   Drench hair in warm water and try to rinse out all the products used to style or moisturize.

2.   Focus on applying the shampoo to your SCALP, rather than your hair.

3.   Massage your hair in similar directions when shampooing - you can cause more knots and tangles when you just scrub your scalp in random directions.

4.   Rinse with warm water. (warm water is great for cleansing)

5.   Repeat (I repeat these steps again if I know my hair is extra dirty.)

HAIRSTYLES IDEAS FOR BLACK BABIES, INFANTS AND NEWBORNS

One of the things a new mother has to learn about is how to take care of their baby’s hair. That’s why in this post, I will share some easy hairstyles for Black babies you can try on your baby girl’s hair. These are hairstyles that are extremely simple for anyone to make. You don’t need to know how to do hair, let alone, how to do babies hair. Of a fact,, these hairstyles are so easy that even husbands, partners or older children can do these hairstyles on your baby’s hair.

These hairstyles do not include hair extensions or any type of attachments that stays in the child’s hair for a significant length of time. They are also tension free and won’t pull on your daughter’s hair or damage her growing hair follicles.

Some Frequently Asked Questions Relating To Caring For Black Babies Hair.

1.     Why do babies get bald spots on the back of their head?

The sleeping and sitting position of a new baby will affect her hair growth. Since babies sleep most of the time during the first few months of their life, it’s significant to note that you switch their sleeping positions, so they’re not always sleeping on their backs. Remember that your baby is growing every day, part of the growth she’s experiencing is hair growth

If she’s always sleeping with the back of her head resting on a surface however, that section of her hair won’t be able to grow as much as the rest of her head. Since it’s recommended for babies to sleep on their backs to avoid sudden infant death syndrome, It’s not recommended switching your baby’s sleeping position just for hair growth. You can however get your baby satin bedding such as a satin pillow case or give her a  satin sleep cap for babies.

If the back of your baby’s hair seems like it’s not growing, you shouldn’t worry because it will eventually grow out when she’s old enough to change sleeping positions and you feed her healthy meals that will facilitate this growth.

2.     What causes babies to have lots of hair?

Some babies are born with lots of hair, while some are born with barely any. This is mainly determined by genetics and the mother’s diet while she was pregnant.

3.     How can I get my baby’s hair to grow?

Since babies are growing every day, you really can’t do much to change the development of your child. You can however do certain things to help ensure your baby’s hair grows healthy and long. If you are breastfeeding, you want to ensure your baby is eating healthy. As the mother, this means eating healthy foods such as the ones recommended here. Taking  your vitamins so that the breast milk your daughter feeds on has all the necessary nutrients needed for growth is very essential. If your baby is taking formula, you can choose healthy non GMO formula with fewer hormones that can hinder your baby’s growth or cause health issues.
