PRODUCTION OF MOISTURIZING BODY CREAM

How To Produce Moisturizing Body cream

Selecting a body cream that is water soluble is one of the things that should be taken into consideration when choosing body cream.  Water soluble creams dissolve in water. They have positive effect on clothes like shirts' collars, bed sheets, and other wears.  When they come in contact with these wears, they can easily be washed out without much stress and application of some stain removers. being easily absorbed by different skin types is another advantage of water soluble creams body creams. Thus moisturizing body creams  must be water soluble creams.

Moisturizing creams help to treat different skin types especially when the skin is dry by holding water in the stratum corneum (the outer most layer of the skin).

They also help in preventing oil from escaping out of the skin thereby making the skin soft, smooth and healthy.

Knowing how  to make your own body cream will not only save you money, it will earn you money and also promotes you to being your own boss who controls your time and other subordinates.  Achieving this is not so difficult, because  all you need is to lay your hands on some certain ingredients and follow the recipe below and you are good to go.

Body Cream Making Ingredients

1.     Bees wax------------1 cup

2.     Acetyl alcohol------1cup

          3.     Petroleum jelly-----1table spoon

             4.     Shea butter----------2 table spoons

            5.     Paraffin oil----------2 table spoons

6.     Propylene glycol---1/2cup

            7.     Stearic acid----------3 table spoons

            8.     Lanoline -------------2 table spoons

            9.     Glycerine------------3 table spoons 

                                             10. Fragrance ----------qs

                                             11.  Colorant-------------qs

       12.  Preservative---------1table spoon

13. Water ----------------1/2 litre

Materials Requirement

    1.     Spatula/ wooden turner

2  2 .     Large bowl

    3.     Measuring cup/scale

    4.     Food processor

    5.     Glass/stainless steel bowl/double boiler

    6.     Big pot

    7.     Small jars with lids

Production Process

1 1.     Set a clean pot of water on the stove and leave to boil

  2.     Set a double boiler/stainless bowl over the pot on heat

  3.     Add beeswax and allow to dissolve    

  4.     Add acetyl alcohol, shea butter, petroleum jelly and allow to dissolve. While doing this, heat up 1 liter of water on a different heat

  5.     Add lanoline, stearic acid, propylene glycol, glycerin, and water. Keep         stirring repeatedly to incorporate all the water. At this stage pour the melted oil into a food processing blender and blend for 5 minutes to avoid chunks of shea butter and bees wax in order to create a smooth finished product.

  6. Or, patiently melt the ingredients on a heat. By doing this you will begin to notice the consistency changing to a creamy mixture.

   7.     Add colorant, stir and allow for a few minutes

   8.     Put off the heat and allow to cool a bit

   9.     Add preservatives and fragrance and stir

   10.    Scoop into clean jars with fitted lids. Allow to ser completely before placing the lids
